We organize into local chapters because we believe one of the most valuable tasks we can do is rebuild the social network for the movement across the country. Forming local groups to regularly meet lays a foundation for strong communities who can then be motivated and equipped to reach out to their local communities and get stuff done.
We do most of our communications via Signal. We provide these chats as a venue for free-software organizers across the United States to be able to talk to each other and share tips. If you’re interested in connecting with us, please fill out this interest form. Alternatively, you can directly reach out to any of the organizers to request an invite!

Don’t see your state? We have members from other areas too, so the door is always open to getting new groups started. Fill out the interest form so we can get in touch with you and connect you with others in our network!
Starting a Chapter #
If you don’t see your state listed above, that’s fine! We’re looking to eventually build out a network of people across the country, so we’d still love to have you. If you’d like to begin the work of starting your own chapter, reach out to us and try to see if you can find at least 2-3 other people in your area who could help with “seeding” the early stages of your chapter.
